Setting Trade Targets
Setting a target ensures that your stock will be sold when the price rises to the target level. For example, suppose you purchased 100 shares of a stock after it broke through overhead resistance. Suppose, also, that you have read many great books on Fibonacci and technical analysis. Consequently, you are fairly certain that this price breakout will lead to a 50% increase. You, then, could utilize this knowledge to enter a price target. Price targets coupled with stops are excellent ways to manage risk and can be utilized to lock in desired risk versus reward ratios.
